January 20, 2018 - Tasted blind. Big, happy, sloppy nose of caramel oak, raspberries, and a bit of nice menthol. Full bodied, with ripe fruit. There is a cherry cola overtone that builds and gives this another layer. Balanced and likeable.

May 26, 2014 - This particular bottle was in a very good spot. Great nose of currants, cedar, tobacco, plum, and bell pepper. On the palate, nuanced with bright cherry, currant, plum, tobacco, and cedar. Finished long with resolved tannins that still have decent grip. Drink or continue to hold.

April 4, 2013 - WCC 1997 California Cabernet Blind Tasting (Fort Orange Club, Albany, NY): Elegant, but with significant structure and tannin. Still needs time. I would never have guessed that this is 60% Merlot from tasting it. 92-94

November 25, 2011 - The third bottle of six I bought two months ago, and the best one yet. A big, smooth, velvety pleasurable success! Dark red fruit with mature complexity, nice dry finish, balance all the way through.

November 18, 2011 - CT Texas Offline III; 11/18/2011-11/19/2011 (Galveston): Lots of vegetation in this wine. Green pepper is predominant throughout, with a tad bit of onion. Threw off a good amount of sediment.
