August 29, 2023 - This is a fun and quirky glass of champagne and I think I like it - the nose is pretty rich and expansive with green apple, chalk, brioche, lemon, and at times a little exotic kind of thing (sometimes kiwi, sometimes coconut). The palate is similar, full of crème pâtissière and marcona almond, rich yet electric - then surprising oxidative notes emerge to dominate the finish. Yet with food (cod en papillote, then cheese) the oxidative note isn’t really felt. Bottles under Diam. Unfortunately there’s no notation of base vintage or disgorgement date.
