December 8, 2023 - Smooth with subtle hints of fruit and a slight hint of sweetness that separates this wine form others. Excellent across the board.

November 14, 2022 - Three hour decant; perfect structure and an amazing wine; excellent fruit with balanced tannins. This is how Silver Oak used to be long ago.

October 8, 2022 - Excellent. Smooth. For me exactly what I expect from a Napa Cabernet. Wonderful finish wit a slight, sweet finish even after 10-11 years. All flavors are soft and complimentary. Find it. Try it. Great wine.

July 18, 2021 - A classic cabernet at its peak. Garnet, opaque, no brown edges. Typical old-style Silver Oak aroma of cassis, sweet American oak vanilla, slight hint of herbs. On the palate very soft and round, medium body but with flavors building for 30 seconds. Very long fruit and oak aftertaste. Lots of red and black fruits, good acidity, nicely balanced, very little tannin. An excellent wine at its peak, if you like a softer, more elegant style rather than the huge cult cabs.
