October 29, 2023 - 75 minute decant. Ruby colored. The wine was still tight an needed another hour before the fruit started to put on some weight. Surprising amount of red fruits for a Cab Sauv - Merlot blend. The fruit also tasted of a much cooler vintage with some green elements. Such a different experience that my first bottle of this wine 10 years ago. Not really sure what to make of its evolution. Nonetheless, very smooth. Will need to revisit in another year or two before fully judging this wine. An outside drinking window of 2026 seems premature based upon this bottle.

September 16, 2023 - Full, elegant, slightly creamy blackcurrant fruit, well structured and long. A fine wine, probably at its best now, but with years ahead. Decanted two hours.

September 5, 2023 - Fading, but not without its charms and the signature of the famously, torrid vintage, the wine is soft and supple in character. The nose and palate share tobacco, spice, and roasted red fruit characteristics. The finish, while fruity, is chalky with a hint of drying tannins on the back end. The wine blends 80% Cabernet Sauvignon with 20% Merlot. Drink from 2023-2033.

August 31, 2023 - Decanted a few hours. Lush sexy profile with near perfect balance. Long finish with a big fruit filled nose. Well done for the vintage. Drink now to 2032.
