January 2, 2009 - A great wine to start the new year. Very expressive on the nose with lots of dark fruit, tar, smoked meat, and pepper. The full bodied frame brings in some sweet oak and definite notes of blueberry and ripe plums. The mid palate is a touch hollow, but the finish is long and peppery. Would recommend.

December 15, 2007 - Full-bodied with blueberry and blackberry. A bit held back by the uncharasmatic oak on the finish.
