June 2, 2019 - This was very earthy and leathery on both the nose and palate, not offering a whole lot of fruit. Shows excellent depth and intensity along with a moderate acidity and fine balance. Finishes extremely long, with lingering notes of mineral and licorice at the very back end. An unusual flavor profile for Brunello. Even on Day 2 this was still not very fruity at all, though quite enjoyable and interesting.

January 31, 2014 - The nose showed ripe cherry with dusty coco, sweet spice and hints of cedar. On the palate, I found tart red berries and herbs with brisk acidity and soft textures. Cherry and soil tones prevailed into the long finish with a lovely hint of ginger.
