  June 7, 2014 - Mature dark fruit nose. Very aromatic. Soft tannins on palate with rich dark fruits and gentle subtle spicy warmth with attractive length. Delicious.

  December 21, 2009 - This bottle seemed to be more ripe than the one we have tasted one month ago. In case this turns out to be representative for this vintage, bottles should be emptied over the next 2-3 yrs.

  November 15, 2009 - first impression: a basket full of cherries and tobacco. on the palate strong but well balanced tannins, filling every corner of the mouth. fine, long, impressing finish. excellent.

  May 27, 2007 - Great nose showing lot's of cinamon, leather, tobaco and still good sour cherry. Mouth is balanced, fine tannins and a long finish.

  February 1, 2005 - his was an opulent wine with heaps of rich ripe red and black fruits and copius amounts of oak. It was all sweetness on the palate and drinks beautifully at the moment - even though I imagine that it will age well. It is low acid and quite "plump". I had the 1999 a few weeks back and that wine's more clearly defined structure and balance appealed to me than the more obvious 2000. At any rate - I am glad I have a few of these in my cellar as it seems to me to be a great example of new age wine making in Tuscany. An outstanding wine, in my view and I look forward to its evolution (esp considering the next wine...)
