February 15, 2023 - Opened by the table and decanted. Had with a entre of duck breast. Warm, sweet red and dark fruit on the nose, but not a particularly strong aroma. Initially, this was disappointing: it was lacking mid-palate and felt it was past it’s peak. Tannins we’re smooth and resolved. It did gain some body and complexity over the meal, but never stood up to the duck, which was disappointing.

April 18, 2020 - My first D-Block and certainly wont be my last.

Big number from the Vale, almost Barossa like in texture and depth. Jammy and velvety, with big dark fruits and beatifully balanced.

July 8, 2018 - Southern Hemisphere Wines (Jason's House): Slow o'd a couple hours. The nose is fairly rich Aussie shiraz. The palate is austere and thin. I am left thinking that this wine is either in a dumb phase right now or this wine is a lean representation of shiraz.

May 7, 2017 - French and American oak, cork seal, from black cracking soil comes quite a complex beast.
Fruit layers interwoven with black spice and pepper, flexible tannins, acidity developing quite wide.
