July 22, 2022 - Not sure what to say here, suspect this bottle has suffered from moving around with me and probably getting too hot. Cork seemed in good condition but broke when being pulled. Viscous and dark mahogany in colour. Nose and palate present a combination of jumbo raisins, brown sugar and lemon sherbet. Astonishing acidity cutting through the rich level of sugar. Overall enjoyed this but suspect more oxidised than if storage conditions had been better.

November 2, 2006 - 'Heavy' nose, golden syrup and botrytis spice, lemon curd and candied peel. Incredibly sweet, syrup like texture almost oily. Amazing depth of flavour and still balanced in spite of the huge sugar hit. Honey, fruit syrup, allspice - indescribably complex and shockingly long finish. Sensational wine and with an incredibly long life ahead. ***
