Community Tasting Notes 5

December 6, 2020 - Jammy with red and purple fruit, medium body and complexity compared to the Barossa shiraz we were also drinking this evening. Smooth mature tannins, jam, burnt marshmallow, pepper, savory herbs and spice. Cool weather shiraz but very enjoyable and pleasant. Very balanced, medium finish, medium complexity.

May 11, 2020 - Almost black with a thin dark crimson hue. Dry medium aroma, dried herbs, cedar, straw. Blackberry, blueberry, milk chocolate. Full body, smooth fine tannin. Balanced acidity. Still tasting well on day 3. The tannin has smoothed dramatically from 2 years ago.

March 9, 2018 - Black purple colour with Crimson hue. Aroma of dry oak, spice and black fruit. Blackberry, plum, cloves, aniseed, dark chocolate. Needs several hours to breathe. Tannin can be quite dry and grippy, slightly acidic. Nice fruit but hard to get over the tannin.

September 20, 2016 - Intensity of nose and palate reflects yield at harvest of 1.5t to the acre

    Smoke and blackcurrant nose

Smooth, with black plum acidity, continuing to intense black spice

April 16, 2016 - This wine displays a complex and rich nose with typical cool climate characters of dark fruits, plums and black cherries.
