February 9, 2024 - Sept 23 disgorgement. 2 g/l dosage and needed more. Stridently sour. Shame as lovely balance underneath.

February 9, 2024 - Sboccatura: agosto 2023. Colore giallo paglierino con lievi riflessi dorati; bolla estremamente fine e persistente. Naso dal timbro fresco e di grande raffinatezza, che si esprime attraverso sentori fruttati di mela verde e agrumi freschi, frutta secca, in particolare mandorla, rimandi a note di crosta di pane e di pasticceria, nonché leggere note speziate. Il sorso è teso e vibrante, tutto improntato su una grande sapidità; allo stesso tempo, è cremoso e bilanciato da una buona rotondità in bocca, anche grazie alla presenza di un buon 30% di vini di riserva. Allunga sul finale, mantenendo un’ottima intensità. Tra i migliori BdB in circolazione per rapporto q/p.

January 20, 2024 - High acidity on the palate is not to my style. I view this a lighter aperitif, certainly it is better as it warms up and flavors come out. Others have done a fine job of indicating the profile. Drank this after the NV Le Mesnil, and this really doesn’t come close for memorability. So, I won’t rate in fairness to that comparison; they are very different. Won’t buy again, too many other champagnes we find superior.
