July 12, 2018 - This is pretty breathtaking right now. Very dark gold, very thick and viscous mouthfeel, high sugar, medium acid that seems to become more prevalent over the long finish. This has gone tertiary and there are some wild flavors here in addition to the standard gewurzt notes...burnt match, a tiny whiff of decay, caramel corn. This is a really fun pairing with spicy Chinese or Indian food. I’m going to sit on the last bottle for a while and see what happens.
