April 12, 2020 - My last bottle of this simply delicious Super Tuscan of S/CS/M.
N: intense, complex, drying blackberries, rose petals, almost minty freshness. Finesse. Sharp white pepper, fresh black olive tapenade savoury quality.
P: Effortlessly elegant, but muscular - classy. Fruit forward still with blackcurrant, black cherry, with a tertiary syrah edge of bramble, decaying roses, sweet tobacco and subtle black olive. Med very sandy tannins and med+ acidity in harmony, give a sense of weightlessness. -

May 21, 2019 - Nice everyday food wine. Dark fruit, white pepper, some spice. Very soft tannins and considerably acid. Nothing to write home about, though.

March 21, 2019 - 90-91 My kind of Super Tuscan. Syrah dominated, cool site on the Tuscan coast, coming in at a balanced 13.5%. Hitting it's stride at six and a half YO 🍷
Nosel: Fresh raspberries and boysenberry smashed together, granite sprinkled on top, with some woody herbs and cream.
Pal: Full but lifted med tannin and acid. Complex counter between fresh ripe raspberry and green leaves with tertiary leather, tobacco leaf, garrigue, and old wood. Slight creamy texture.
Fin: Bark, leather, lasting garrigue. -

February 23, 2018 - My first bottle of three of this deep and punchy syrah based Super Tuscan. Lots of super concentrated red fruit, you can definitely feel the syrah in that way, with its characteristic touch of pepper too, but not in an over-ripe Aussie way. This wine keeps Old World restrain with its power. It has medium-high acidity that keeps it fresh, with medium-high tannins too that structure very well and make this a great food wine.
I plan to forget about my other two bottles for a few years, as I believe this is still a baby. Its still super fresh and youthful with only minor tertiary and developed notes. in 5-10 years, it'll be singing. -
