  July 4, 2016 - Color: deep black with blood red tinge. Very little translucency.
  Nose: hot nose - mutes any real aroma.
  Flavor: strawberry jam, dark chocolate, African vanilla, and a bit of tart green on the front. The tartness consists through the middle, and the tannins make a presence along with some heat from the alcohol. The finish is decent - smooth - and the linger is half a minute.
  
  Let sit an hour at least for a very decent improvement. Somewhat of a fruit bomb red blend of syrah, merlot, some zin and petite sirah. Not a lot of complexity - very traditional California style red blend, but given the $9.50 price tag this wine is a steal. Fantastic QPR. This is a wine to drink, so don't sit on for too long.

  January 31, 2016 - Really surprised me. Not heavy or too sweet with a fruity aftertaste. But not light, has boldness. You really taste the chocolate and berry flavor. I love the murky texture. Really looks like wine and smells good.
