Community Tasting Notes 2

January 22, 2020 - This has aged well. Decanted off of zero sediment. Medium ruby with brick flashes. The nose shows heady cherry aromas, with allsopice, herbs, ripe strawberry. Buoyant fruit on the palate in a polished & lifted texture that shows an ingratiating fragility. Finishes with light grip and a bare dusting of tannin. Will it improve further? Maybe, but it will surely hold for awhile.

December 2, 2016 - Very likable. Earthy cran-cherry, chocolate, asphalt. Higher acidity on the palate, cherry cola, oak derived flavors and texture on the mid-palate to finish. Mid-weight with nice depth of flavor. A little oakier than my preference, but also young and gains finesse from the elevage in a modern Super Tuscan style the winery is emulating.
