Still alive. Still kicking. Amazing considering the difficulty of the vintage.
I have another bottle, so the first was something of an experiment - can it still be any good? - the answer a resounding YES. -

September 1, 2016 - Deep garnet. Dry rich nose of spicy cedar, cigars, violets, ghosts of dark berry, a hint of mint. On the palate the fruit is sonorous, very smooth tannins with a hint of bite still, cross-fading to a lingering acid finish. All elements alloyed into an otherworldly elixir, calming and transporting. 50 + 17 + 16 + 8.
