Community Tasting Notes 10

October 7, 2020 - Dark purple, needed 3-4 hrs to open up, then rich raspberry nose, smooth mouthfeel, long finish.

July 17, 2020 - This bottle was ready for business... no formal notes taken as was part of a few bottles open, however was everything you expect in a quality GSM, only tiny complaint would be a shorter than desired finish.. it was a PnP, so very well mat have been the lack of decent air time. Drank over 2 hrs.... Contrary to other reviews, I found the alcohol very restrained and very well integrated... sad it was my last bottle. Everyone thought this was WOTN.

June 11, 2020 - Sweet raspberries and crushed peppercorns. Tasty wine although the heat on the finish is noticeable

February 2, 2019 - Pop and pour, consumed over 4 hours. Nose: Medium expressiveness, black raspberry, blueberry, black olives, bacon fat, and high octane (alcohol). Palate: Medium-full bodied, black raspberry and allspice attack, good balance, black olive and cardamom join in the mid-palate, back-end shows dark red fruit, spice and alcohol which lingers through a 30-45 second finish. This is big and tasty if you can get past the high alcohol.

October 17, 2018 - Just got back from Gigondas and this wine is pretty close to a southern Rhône. My only nit is the alcohol shows a bit otherwise very enjoyable.
