  March 30, 2020 - As usual with Hunnicutt, this is a solidly built wine. Popped it with hot pastrami sandwiches off my smoker and the tannins and dark fruit sung with the smoky richness of the pastrami. I just love everything Justin and the crew do and immediately bought 8 more bottles of 2017 on top of my usual allocation of all of their wines. Never disappointing..... Never......

  March 5, 2020 - Purple to the rim. Black fruits and minerals on the nose. Huge up front fruit full and smooth across the palate with some tannins still to resolve A medium to long finish

  March 9, 2018 - Big change from a year ago. Fruit has integrated and the result is a really balanced wine, however it has lost some punch. This is far more elegant than the in your face fruit bomb from a year ago.

  January 21, 2018 - 30 minute powered decant. Deep garnet red to purple. Heavy nose of cedar, oak and blackberries. Taste of blackberries, strawberry, pastry and beignets with powdered sugar. Silky smooth with medium body. Low tannins and medium acidity. Nice full flavored wine. Just a tad on the sweet side but I like the overall flavor profile.
