April 20, 2016 - Tried the same wine direct from the bottle and then with a 3 hour simulation by iFavine.
The nose showed a dusty kick out front followed by vivid berries, both red and black, plum, milk chocolate and scents of violets. Rounded with bright fruit and bracing acidity. The aeration helped the well-extracted tannins to mellow and löse all their edges.

January 6, 2016 - Crimson in colour. Lovely aromatics here displaying layers of red berries along with plum, a spicy edge and alluring scents of violets. Firmly textured on the palate surrounded by bright fruit and a velvety, mouth-feel.

December 3, 2015 - Red wine with a medium intense colour, ruby-red with a slightly tawny rim. The nose is showing some complexity, there is a hint of leather, cedar wood, tobacco, with sweet red fruit; such as red currant and plum. The palate is quite full-bodied, still with a present extract. Slightly tannic sensation on the mid-palate, however balanced by a fresh acidity. Quite long finish with some dried spices, some dried herbs, showing up on the finish. A touch of mint. So pretty attractive fruit. Still a rather youthful wine. I would prefer to put back in the cellar just for the tannins to soften a little bit.

November 16, 2015 - The blend of 51% Cabernet Franc and 49% Merlot has the darkfruit and floral nose with menthol, blueberry, raspberry and flowers in addition to some forest floor and a delicate touch of lead pencil shavings, great nose indeed! The wine has great structure and density, like a top right bank Bordeaux coming from a top vintage. The floral notes continues in the palate of this full-bodied, powerful Chamlija, yet it possesses a very low pH that should ensure enormous longevity for this outstanding wine. Dense purple in color, and a bigger, richer wine. This is THE Chamlija wine that will probably need a minimum 5 year of cellaring. it tastes like “liquid cashmere,” despite the wine’s structure and intensity. This is probably the best Chamlija wine from this amazingly structured, rich vintage. Well, if you put it against top Bordeauxs from a top vintage, very few people could notice it as dead ringer. Awarded 5 Star in Vinitaly 2016 Wine Competition, achieving avarage 90 points from 5 judges. This makes this wine a historical wine since no Turkish wine won any medal in Vinitaly since 1966 when the competition started.

October 11, 2015 - Tasted as part of the 2015 Şarap Tutkunları Tasting in İzmir where I was invited as a guest along with Aslı Odman. The tasting panel included Dilek Caner MW, İsa Bal MS and Ayhan Güleyen. The following tasting note and the relevant score belongs to me only.
Deep ruby coloured. Cheerful nose showing mixed black fruit along with rosehip marmelade and some subtle graphite notes. Rich and beautifully knit with a compelling perfume and limpid fruit. Velvety, open and bright.
