July 27, 2020 - Consistent with prior bottle in April. Nose of plums, dark purple in color. Soothes the palate with the aforesaid plum, dark cherry and hints of earth. Really great.

April 25, 2020 - Nose of plums, dark cherry, wet leaves and a light hint of charcoal. Quite attractive from the first sip. Nice balance of fruit, tannin and alcohol. Should continue to drink fine through 2022/2023.

October 26, 2019 - Drank with strong cheeses and then a pan-grilled filet. Light red in color. There was a little funk on the nose when it was opened but that went away. The aromatic impression of the wine was not its strength. On the palate there was a nice balance of fruit and earthiness without anything weird. There was a kind of charcoal or maybe dry cocoa undertone. Overall it was very tasty and delivered a sense of place and complexity.

September 18, 2019 - PNP'd two bottles for a dinner (unfortunately the Dinner did not live up to the wine). Really wonderful wine, albeit not very complex. It could use a bit more cellaring as suggested by Burghound and is clearly not nearing the end of its drinkability.

August 30, 2019 - A pleasant surprise. Warm fruit but with a flinty mineral back to the nose. And medium chewy on the pallets with good length. Can probably evolve from here too, but is in a decent place right now. Ertainly one of the best San ynez Pinots I have had recently.
