April 7, 2024 - Pale lemon. Medium+ aromas and flavours of apple, lemon, lime, grapefruit, pear, blossom, wet stones, and a touch of hazelnut. High acidity, medium+ body and medium+ finish. Very good wine but felt it lacked the finish and complexity to be outstanding.

February 9, 2024 - Pre-Super Bowl Gentlemen's Dinner (New Jersey, USA): In my cellar since release. Double decanted at 4:30 and served at cellar temperature with the first course around 6pm. This is a very stately and profound wine that showed nice acidity and minerals backbone with tart apple, creamy nectarine and lemon curd. This seemed to have had a distinct new wood undertone while being fleshy and deep with concentrated flavors. It unfortunately seemed to be missing the “next gear” it needed to really impress. If this was served by itself it would likely have impressed more but in comparison to the 2 other Chablis this didn’t really stand out, especially versus the Bessin Fourchaume which had such purity.

January 14, 2024 - 👃 Ripe yellow apple, lemon, white florals, burnt gun powder, toast and talky minerals

👅 Medium-bodied (ABV 13%) with razorsharp yet soft acidity (h), unexpected tannic structure, flavors of toast, popcorn and smoky minerals (like slamming 2 rocks together) and one of the longest, most active finishes I’ve experienced.

📝 Intense! The electric finish keeps buzzing at the back of the throat, while the lips go numb. Nuclear Power comes to mind. An idiosyncratic & unique wine experience.
    Je suis a Chablis convert

My Wine of the night (selected blind).
    Tasted blind with wine club
    Theme: Domaine Pinson
    The 14 tasters voted:
    * 4 votes for Wine of the Night (or rather “best wine right now”)
    * 0 votes for worst wine right now.

As far as the tasting team went, this wine shared the Wine of the Night (best wine right now) designation with the 2012 1er Cru Mont de Milieu.

I could have rated the wine even higher but I’m embarrassingly inexperienced when it comes to Chablis. Fact remains that Team Cellartracker is way off here.

August 21, 2022 - 1.5 L. Special vineyard that consistently delivers. Love this wine. Drinking beautifully

November 19, 2021 - French and Italian Comparative Tasting Dinner (Middletown Township, NJ, USA): Second flight tasted opposite a 2012 Aldo Conterno Bussiador. Quickly double decanted before taking to the tasting. This was wonderfully crisp and balanced with just a hint of some oak (I understand it’s elevate was 90% in steel and 10% in oak). Fruit is not overt but blended nicely with citrus and pear supporting the expected mineral overtones. The majority of the group liked this better by itself but preferred the Bussiadsor with the scallop and creamed corn dish.
