June 14, 2019 - PnP. Big syrupy dark fruit on the nose. Rich blackberry, licorice. Integrated tannins, a bit dusty. Good, pleasant finish. Drinking now.

    September 17, 2018 - Better than first bottle. I'll give it a 92 day1 and a 90 day 2.

June 19, 2018 - 30m decant. Big fruit on the nose, big blue fruit in the mouth, medium finish with pleasant grippy tannins. Smooth, intense, concentrated fruit. Lots of fruit for a ‘13, drinking great now. Power and fruit overwhelms the typicity but if you’re drinking Michael David hopefully you knew what you were going to get.

May 10, 2018 - I was bracing myself for another fruit/alcohol bomb from Michael David (every once in a while we like that), but this was a tad more smooth and elegant - though bold and mostly varietally correct. Enjoyable, would drink again. Went exceptionally well with our northern New Mexico version of pulled pork (pork tenderloin in Instant Pot for 1 hour, then cut up and put in Carne Asada sauce, serve with guac, tortillas, rice and beans). A good strong wine tends to go well with these dishes.
Drink now, popnpour, see no aging potential.
