Community Tasting Notes 3

February 8, 2022 - Translucent ruby color with forest floor, baking spices, black and red fruit, wet clay and a hint of flint aromas. On, the palate it's medium-bodied with vibrant, mouth-watering acidity and silky tannins. It shows black plum, cranberry, dried black cherry, black tea and baking spice flavors accented with an appealing savory character. Medium-long finish

Fruit sourced from the 1-acre Run Dog vineyard in Boonville, which planted in 1999 and managed by the Baxters. Nestled against the cool western hills allowing the vineyard to receive the morning sun, but avoid the harsh afternoon heat. Yields 1.9 tons per acre. Pommard 5 clone. Native fermentation, elevage in neutral French oak barrels, unfined and unfiltered.

March 2, 2017 - Nice Anderson Valley typicity: bright ruby in color, a slightly herbaceous nose with floral and red fruit notes and a delightful palate of tart cherry and Booneville woods. A more masculine than feminine Pinot Noir.

November 29, 2015 - Takes an half hour to open up, nose is light berries and some earth, palate has nice grip with all components working together. Nice expression of Pinot and great QPR.
