March 7, 2023 - I do not understand the lower ratings for this Rhône-style wine. While a bit soft, it is nevertheless a very nice mouthful and in great shape at almost 10 years old. If you already have it or can buy it, enjoy!

April 24, 2021 - Decanted but started drinking soon after. Better as warmed (61F to room temp, even in glass) more so than time to open up.
To the nose, all things black: black cassis, blackberry, and black plum more than black cherry, with slight black olive. Slight oak, very slight cola. On the palate, same fruits with slight raspberry - fruit forward (not a CdP or CdR) but not syrupy. Slight chocolate, anise/licorice, and a faint orange tea after midpoint. Spice is mainly pepper (white = black) especially after midpoint. Full, round mouthfeel with medium-long length. Tannins providing good structure now, in thin laces. It is lively and enjoyable; recommend to let if breathe for 45 min.

March 21, 2021 - Excellent Washington State Rhône ranger, with good fruit, velvety texture and clean and balanced throughout. Good QPR, too. I’d buy again.

February 21, 2021 - Outstanding Washington GSM. Well balanced with good structure, medium to full bodied, and a mix of red and black fruit.
