December 21, 2022 - Surprisingly pale color while delivering rich, tropical (coconut) and lemon meringue flavors. Mineral and flint exposed on a long, toasty graham finish. Literally a little bit of everything going on, I can't decide if it's a bit unfocused, or maybe just a wonderfully complete wine. I really, really like it, but don't want a steady diet of these. Easily enough structure for 4-5 more years in the cellar.

December 24, 2021 - Outstanding. Even better than the last bottle tasted back in June 2020. It has continued to deepen and broaden out. A hint of flowers and tropicals on the nose, the initial impression on the palate is sweet (toasted coconut?) but just when you think Mark might have succumbed to the "California disease" (overly ripe butter ball and tropical fruit chardonnays), it follows with a wave of almonds hazelnuts spice and minerals. Long finish. I have to believe that this is drinking peak, and even if its not, it tastes so good that I'll be opening up my remaining bottles soon (if I'm lucky enough to find anymore in my increasingly disorganized cellar...).

June 3, 2020 - Mark's 2014 is my favorite still and this (sadly my last bottle - nope, found one more!!) was great. Nicely balanced between fruit mineral spice acid with a long and subtle finish. Really special but don't hold it into senility. Drink it now and just enjoy the moment.
