May 9, 2020 - cloudy in appearance and darker than expected, the nose shows fragrant scents of cinnamon, strawberry and rhubarb, medium bodied, shows the ripeness of the appellation and balances it with beautiful acidity, flavors of strawberry, red plum, orange zest and herbs, there is a zen feel here, but clearly a ripe version drinking in peak form

February 8, 2020 - Red fruit and floral nose. Juicy red fruit, licorice, with a bit of beetroot and stone hiding in there. Medium light bodied. Lacking a bit in the mid palate, but fresh, linear. Great QPR at $25 drinks closer to a good Bourgogne

December 25, 2018 - Consistent with last tasting in 2016. Medium crimson in color, this wine reveals black cherry, white flowers and raspberry notes on the nose. The mouth feel is soft, medium-bodied with added elements of subtle smoke and sage. The finish is medium in length with silky acidity and dried cherry. 13.0% abv.
Purchased for $30US, this is a well made, complex and enjoyable offering. This was my second IPOB wine and I'm becoming a fan. Fuller bodied, complex wines with lower abv? It can be done. -

July 19, 2018 - I'd say same as my last bottle on 9/20/2017 - but feel that my 87 at that time might have been a bit generous. Better with food. Drinks clean, like an old school low end older Burgundy.
Vacu pumped, stuck in fridge. Day two better. Drinking very smooth. Burgundy like. Juicy raspberry, red fruits, fennel. For $25, simple but delicious, that said I'd rather spend $50-80 for a better wine. If your budget is $25-30 for a bottle of Pinot Noir - this would be a good candidate. I have one bottle left and will probably decant for 30 minutes, back in the bottle then in the fridge and drink the following day, such a difference.
