Beau vin

Aromas of grapefruits, passion fruits, citrus and mineral surrounded by strong scent of kerosene. At first this is quite bitter with backward, but when I tried it again at the end of the night, this has opened up nicely. Fresh and very rich on the palate, with good cut and transparency to the flavor of citrus, passion fruits, kerosene and strong mineral tones at the background that linger on the long, elegance, complex finish with green herb and spice. Buy - Maybe.

November 10, 2008 - A very quick impression.... Clear pale gold core of moderate+ intensity (the wine glows in the glass) out to a thin watery rim - youthful with some development. Clean nose of mineral, citrus, peach, papaya of moderate+ intensity - really inviting nose. Dry but with lots of fruit (gives an impression of being a touch offdry because of that) that fills the mouth with a really clean citrus cleansing action right after and then a long finish of minerals. Very creamy and mouthfilling with moderate body, alcohol and acids - really well balanced and totally delicious. Lots going on here - expresses it's terroir well. Sadly, it's also very drinkable so the bottle disappeared too soon. Drink now but does have the stuffing to develop over the next 5 years or so.

July 22, 2007 - Light yellow. Shy, but nice nose with apples, some flowers and minerals. Tastes like classic dry Riesling with good fruit, nice minerals and a sharp acidic bite. I did miss something to seduce me more.

February 23, 2007 - Light straw color. The nose was closed at first, but then opened to light fruit, minerals, and a touch of spice after it warmed up a bit. This wine is dry and has decent acidity. The taste develops the mineral aroma more fully; crisp, light, firm, and somewhat earthy or stone-like on the palate. The moderate to long finish continues the mineral/limestone orchestration. Overall, nice, enjoyable, but not particularly complex.
