April 10, 2024 - 2/12 Bright full ruby. Nicely resolved. Mulberry fruit, finely velvety, soft tannins, a sense of richness in a classical, restrained frame, moderate length and complexity. Good to go now but with plenty of time in hand. Very attractive and a good match for côte de boeuf. ***

March 23, 2024 - Nice fruit and balance. Not much complexity though. Plenty of life left.

March 1, 2024 - Decanted about 1 hour and consumed over another 2 hours. Deep, virtually opaque garnet-purple color. Rather lean nose and palate initially but both developed well over the course of the first hour. The nose showed classic aromas of plums, spices and some tobacco. The palate was nicely balanced and moderately rich but there's a ruggedness that seems out of place. Purchased on release and stored in my cellar since.

December 1, 2023 - Yes it’s a bit heavily oaked. But for $20 per, this is fantastic QPR. All hail 2005

September 15, 2023 - This wine has great balance, structure, and intensity, and is a fantastic wine. It is currently very primary, and I would hold for a long while and see how it develops. It has outstanding pedigree after all.
