December 25, 2022 - I still love this deep and complex wine.

June 25, 2020 - Just a beautiful wine. Redolent nose of spices, flowers, white pepper, powerful black licorice, and a sweet smoky note. Palate is hedonistic with an emphasis on the sensual texture. Deep ripe plum, forest berries, graphite, and chocolate. The wine is very balanced on the attack with the sweet, fine tannins overpowering the bright acidity at first. On the very long finish, that acidity plays delightfully on the sides of the tongue. The black licorice lingers endlessly.

May 7, 2020 - Nice petite sirah, moderate tannins. We had gotten this bottle a few years ago at the Plumpjack winery in Napa - definitely worth a visit.

April 11, 2019 - No formal note, a quite delicious reminder how good a varietal this can be, with a big, rich mouthfeel filled with dark fruit and a very balanced palate.

November 21, 2018 - 4 out of 5 would recommend. The 5th is a damned idiot, and should be punched in the purple teeth. This is delicious. Like a mouthful of blueberry pie. The tannins are integrating nicely, and the finish is unabashedly long and delightful.
