The nose seems cles and focused with loads of bitter cherries, some sweet raspberries, some cedar, a touch of ioadine and iron. What is not to like in this? On the palate it unfortunately all falls apart. The fruit seems to be muted and unfocused, the acidity is nowhere to be found but the tannins soars around in your mouth leaving a unpleasant finish - like having used a very hard brush on your tastebuds, toungue, everywhere in my mouth. An akwad phase or just not so fortunate use of new freshly toasted barrique? Hmmm.....
