November 12, 2021 - A year and a half has helped this wine. Somewhat sweet with Dark Cherry and Blackberry Fruit, somewhat light texture with a slight grit to it. Not deep, not overly complex, no secondary flavors that I can taste. Pretty simple easy drinker.

October 30, 2021 - At it's peak, very well balanced between fruit and tannin, essence of cherry, perfect with steak, roast beef

September 6, 2020 - I concur with @mindmuse. Could certainly hold a bit longer but would worry about the balance going too far oak. Oak is prominent now as it is.

April 3, 2020 - Nose of dark plum and dark fruits, has a nice bouquet. Gave it a 90 min decant but I'm not getting much out of it, fruit is gone and whats left is wood and high acid content while the finish is limited and acidic. 94 rated WS is hard to believe and I'm disappointed with this wine. Maybe its still too young and needs more time to resolve? to what i don't know but I won't open my other bottles for at least 2 years.

June 29, 2019 - Took this to a wine lunch and it was very well received though none of the six of us had had an aMaurice before. It even outshined a 2012 Long Shadows Pedestal, a wine I am very fond of.

A pretty, bright ruby in glass, the aromatics were immediately appealin, led by polished French Oak spice on top of ripe cherry, red plum, sweet blossoms, and hint of fresh-tilled topsoil. It's medium bodied, round and evinced a touch of RS on the tongue, delivering cherry, soft plum, cocoa powder and dust, notions of blistered shishitos (at least that's what I wish I had to complement it). While it drinks very smoothly, after a bit evidence of very soft tannins reveals itself. The retronasal perfume of this blend is quite outstanding. A wine of finesse, not power. It can go a couple more years but I'd only wait if you don't like French oak perfume (not the texture) to be so prominent. Me, I love how it's a floral frame right now, and think I drank this at peak for me. I'd be afraid the touch of residual sugar would stick out more as fruit and tannins diminish.
