December 5, 2020 - Better than the previous bottle. Lovely sweet fruit. Balanced. Delicious.

August 10, 2020 - A ripe nose with dark cherry, forest berry, moss, some ferrous and subtle floral notes. Mid weighted a broad for Volnay with a good spine of acidity that seems to have developed since the the last bottle. Rich, sappy, and structured with ripe youthful fruit. This has good depth even if it is not the last word in finesse. Very enjoyable.

August 17, 2019 - Nose: Complex aromas of funk, celery, assorted flowers, iodine and fall leaves. All the aromas are somewhat understated in terms of intensity. Palate: Light and lithe with soft cherries and iron underneath. Good acidity levels. Was a bit concerned about this one as the cork was almost all saturated but it drinks fine. A very solid value 1er Cru Volnay at only $35/bottle. Glad to have one more left but it will have a short time horizon sideways before consumption.

April 15, 2019 - I hr decant, last bottle...silky slightly smokey entry but the wild red berry jumps out at you in the palate. Nothing like this in other bottles. Very large scale juicy red berries. Turns more savory and elegant with time...best bottle of the 4 I had. Still young

December 25, 2018 - Pale transparent garnet. Cork was soft and wet up almost to the top. Definitely on the light side. Muted nose of red fruits. Fruit here is fading. Some minerally bits. Some sappy notes. Finish is fairly long. I wish this had just a bit more depth. Better with air. Time to drink these.
