  June 9, 2010 - Probably on the other side of its peak, this wasn't the equal to the wine I had about a year ago. Still has some of its finely formed elements, just missing some of the stuffing. See previous notes and drink now if you're holding.

  January 6, 2009 - Very likeable and a good value at $15. On the nose: meat, spice, cherry and earth. Fruit forward, with cigar box, chocolate covered cherries and spice. Tannins tell me there are a few years in this bottle. Strong midpalate and finish. A friend to rack of lamb with juniper berry sauce and the stew we made with the leftovers. Recommended.

  January 14, 2008 - Medium garnet color, on the nose I get classic cab fruits and a barnyard/cigar scent. On the palate I get black currant, vanilla and oak. On initial open the wine is still a bit tight, tannins are firm and present, will probably integrate better over the next couple of years, will see how this wine evolves with some air. Day 2, mostly the same, maybe a bit more open, not bad for $14.
