    April 15, 2023 - Burnt cherry, raspberry, dirt, iron, cola on the nose. Medium bodied on the palate. After a restrained opening, gobs of round fruit pushing forward in the palate - almost like a gobstobber of pure fruit. At first, little interest or complexity beyond the fruit with a slightly bitter, thin, almost unpleasant character on the finish. However, it certainly unfurled after an hour or so. The core of ripe fruit remained but some interesting cedar, almost Bordeaux like, character emerged. Some rusty iron, thyme, sage on the finish with some tannic grip emerging.

    Similar character on day 2 with some charred wood, raspberry pop tart?!, dried herb character. Overall, a little disappointing but I'd most of that down to personal preference.

    February 28, 2017 - The colour is exciting - a translucent ruby which makes you think it's going to be really light. Though in reality it's actually medium-bodied. Classic notes of burnt cherry, raspberry and some spice. Great length and extremely drinkable now. Can't wait to see this one grow up.
