July 9, 2023 - Beautiful tropical note. Still a bit flinty. If I had more I would hold for another 5-10 years. Bravo!

April 7, 2023 - Really showed well last night - another wine that really opened up as it warmed in the glass. And as it nears it's 10th birthday, no signs whatsoever of any decline, so if you still have it in your cellar, call it drink or hold.

May 23, 2021 - According to CT, the last time I tried this was last August. I liked it a lot that day, and it's just as good nine months later. Still has a reductive petrol note on the nose, but as time passes and the wine has more bottle age, this has been getting less noticeable. Crisp & taut on the palate, with good persistence. I really like where this is at right now, so I will probably queue up a few more bottles for this Summer's consumption.

April 23, 2021 - If I had not seen the label I would have guessed this was maybe two years post-vintage. There was still a notable struck match element on the nose. Two hours in a decanter, and it became a supporting player, rather than a featured performer. Pulling back the curtain revealed a bright, multi-layered, wine, with medium body and maximum length. Steel cut lemon on the attack, gave way to a light cream finish with a hint of oak on the finish, haunting the memory of a sip.

Structure and concentration suggest a long road for this wine, hopefully auguring well for later vintages where I have more bottles.

November 14, 2020 - Nose gives away candle wax, coconut, toasted almond, ginger. Palate is nutty, with mellow lime, ginger, and light tangerine notes into the finish. So good I decided to finish the bottle.
