October 8, 2022 - Wonderful nose that reminds me a lot of old Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon. Aromas of strawberry-habanero sauce, leather, and black tea. Fully realized and representative of old school California Cabernet. Smoky, adventurous finish. Drink now.

May 5, 2019 - A vivid and lively expression of brighter red fruits like bing cherry, and cranberries. Lacks balance but still kicking at 22 years. Truly high acidity likely did keep this wine going. It is (as expected with high acidity) still acidic and represents the only large element keeping this wine from being better.

The nose is awesome and loaded with crushed cherries and a small amount of fresh asphalt and some tobacco leaf. The in mouth feel is a slightly different story as the acidity quickly takes over. It reveals a sour and tinged cherry fruit with lively "tart like" sourness.

All that said ..... I love older wine. I love its unique flavor and relish these opportunities. This wine is still good and worth discovering.

August 20, 2018 - I bought this on sale in 1999. I had consumed the other bottles including the Corley Reserve long ago. I put this away and never got around to drinking it and long after its neglect I pulled and tasted it expecting to have to dump it. Cork albeit short was in perfect shape. No bricking, it really looks like the latest vintage of California Cab. Tart cherries, black tea, cranberry, and just a little heat on the finish. Maybe the high acidity kept this preserved and drinkable but it was good enough to drink with dinner and way too enjoyable to toss. I doubt many others have kept this around but let me know if you did.
