Community Tasting Notes 6

  • Philipp Biermann Likes this wine: 88 points

  • Butzemann Likes this wine: 90 points

November 1, 2019 - D+0h: no deposit in the filter nor in the bottle, smells a little bit of elderberry and liquorice D+2,5h: purple red, on the rim slightly cherry red, smells of elderberry, a little bit of smoke and liquorice, full body, smooth in the mouth, has a dash of residual sugar, so is not completely dry, in the mouth elderberry, a little bit of blackberry and a tiny bit of liquorice, in the aftertaste acidity, blackberry and a little bit of liquorice, good length (25 sec), nicely matured pinot noir.

  • Dancing with bottles Likes this wine: 88 points

November 13, 2018 - On first day: Almost plump (in German: füllig) with fruit, elegance and length and perfect integrated notes of toasted Barrels. A bit hollow on day two.
At least on 1st day punching above its Price Level (< 13.-)

December 3, 2016 - D+0h: no deposit in the filter nor in the bottle, smells of cherry D+5h: purple red colour, smells of smoke, cherry and a little bit of liquorice, full body, in the mouth elderberry and smoke, dry but not in a tart way, in the aftertaste elderberry and acidity, good length (25 sec), a really good pinot noir for a fair price.

June 3, 2016 - Quite pale. Fruity and toasty barrique notes in the nose. On the palate soft, ripe fruit, balanced and generous. With almost no Tannins, medium Body and finish this is a wine without much thrill but a good Pinot Noir for the Price. A bit to jammy for my taste (the typical taste from the traditional clones in that area) so my Rating is a bit restraint. But this wine is nevertheless well done and a bargain (regarding the grape variety) for under 13 Euros.
