October 2, 2020 - Not bad from cork pop, but definitely better after 90 min of air. Nose is youthful oak and slightly ripe blackberry, sandalwood. Palate all ripe blackberry and attenuated pepper spice with a hint of sandalwood. Some iodine when moving to the mid-palate. Initially I was getting a a fairly strange Oreo cookie kind of note. The finish is a little direct and still a bit on the youthful side but this is gaining. The best years of this are ahead of it for sure. Going to be a force in 2023 and plan to hold my 3L of this for much much longer.

April 3, 2020 - Big and chewy. Opened up after an hour or so, bittersweet tannins give way to deep black fruit. Delicious.

December 1, 2019 - !00% cab, some new oak. Nice spicy blackberry and blackcurrant fruit. Medium Acidity and very good fruit. Some complexity.

Palate matches with bramble, mesquite, black plum, graphite, pepper spice, with approachable structure for high end Napa, medium tannins, medium plus alcohol. It's very nice, but the price point is uuuuupp there I think based on winemaker's pedigree. Give it a few more years for complexity or get the 2015 which I liked better.
