October 28, 2020 - Excellent on two different nights. Brambly, stones, red fruit, nice balance and depth.

September 26, 2020 - What a terrific, deep, rich wine for the price. Sadly, my last of six bottles. They kept getting better with time, and I'm certain I'd rate this even higher with another 3-5 years of age. It's fantastic now, but PLEASE decant first. We gave ours 2+ hours before we started drinking, and that was sufficient for it to come out swinging. I have half cases of the 2015 and 2017 (20th anniversary) as well. Now that I know what this becomes with time, I'll enjoy those more slowly.

    May 15, 2020 - Single blind tasting
    Garnet with rim clearing, filtered
Aromatics medium +. Initial VA that left over time and with re-pours. Mild old oak, plums, dried fruit, earth and leather. The latter 2 increased with time in the glass.
Palate medium +. Tannins medium +, are coarse on teeth/gums. Acidity medium +. Black cherry and chalky minerality.
Finish has a medium - length with balance towards the tannins
My only bottle. Should have waited on this one a few more years. Needs to aerate also. I think the potential for more is there though.

May 15, 2020 - Dark ruby to light ruby at rim - youthful appearance
Medium plus aromas of sweet red and black fruit with secondaries of meat/ smoke and soy sauce with faint floral and mint notes - light touch of new oak
Medium bodied with palate of ripe black cherry and plum with nice minerality/ rocks
Medium plus to high rather coarse tannins coating the entire mouth
Medium plus acidity on sides of tongue and medium plus finish
Probably better with a decant - would wait 2-4 yrs to see if tannins integrate a little better
Rather modern in style but well made

September 1, 2019 - I have been really enjoying these wines but the 2013 must be the best of the vintages I have tasted so far. It takes some time in the decanter to open up. Fascinating aromatics of sour red fruit, but also some darker fruit, smoke, ash, graphite, tobacco, some leather, spices, and some fresh herbal notes too. It's medium-full bodied, but with superb freshness of pretty high acidity, medium+ tannin that is superbly silky. Good length. An amazing Titolo and for me one of the benchmark Aglianicos in the market. If you like minerality, freshness and character… look no further.
