    March 10, 2018 - Still drinkable. A bit light for a Cab.

March 18, 2015 - Took to dinner with friends (we all work/worked at Chimney Rock) in Napa. Wine was decanted at the table. For a fourteen year old wine, it was bright and fresh with excellent balance, good fruit, restrained tannins, color and nose were as they should be. Everyone enjoyed (and finished) the bottle. Wish I had more. (so do my friends)

While cellaring was not perfect, it has been in good storage since I first got the bottle. I was just waiting for a good time to open it.

August 17, 2009 - Purple with brownish red edges. Subdued fruit now, very mellow. Round, hint of barnyard and olives.

September 13, 2008 - Very deep purple color with just a hint of brickish red starting to show at the edges. The nose was big as soon as I pulled the cork. I pick up cherries and blackberries in the nose, along with a hint of earthiness. Super concentrated in the mouth, really big and luscious fruit going on here. Blackberry, plump, maybe even a little bit of strawberry. Ever so slight a hint of anise happening here. Chunky comes to mind as the best general way to describe this wine. Not overly dry, tannins well integrated, probably at its peak. Pretty nice fruit bomb kind of cabernet sauvignon. I don't see it evolving much though.

September 7, 2008 - Coffee, and spice - albeit light flavours were noticible. It was superior to the other wines of the night and was roundly enjoyed.
