January 31, 2020 - Iberian Wimps (La Trompette, Chiswick): Pale straw. Nose is fresh - lime, herbal notes, quite pungent. Medium/full on the palate though, and surprisingly weighty, intense fruit, spice, crisp acidity, very long finish. Excellent.

August 23, 2019 - GAAAAHHH! This was the white I was most excited about in my cellar. First time I've tasted it. And... it's very respectable, does all the right things. There's oak, there's weight, there's balance, but there's not much joy. A well-educated, serious-minded bottle. But it was more magistrate than magician.
Disappointed Clarky, disapponted me. Not worth £30. Guess I'm now a little more educated about godello.

March 16, 2018 - At Curate in Asheville. Rich aromas of apple, violets, smoked chili pepper. Rich deep tropical fruit on the palate with lively acids, vanilla aromas and briny flavors on the back.

September 15, 2017 - Smells smokey in a really good way. Palate is clean but quite full bodied, rich, but not sloppy.

May 26, 2017 - I liked this wine a lot, however didn't wow me quite so much as the first time I tried it. Rubbery aromas initially which calmed down. Medium acidity, lime, stone on the taste. Quite lean - especially compared to the superior '15.
