April 3, 2021 - Somewhat consistent with the last bottle from two years ago, but better. Quite nice, dark flavored nose, yet overpowering acidity and too much tart fruit on the palate. Quite a bit of tannins left, but somewhat disjointed still.

Pitch black. Midweight.
Higher acid. Enough tannins to remind you theyre there.
A bit of VA. Wouldnt hold onto these. I'd just drink them. -

September 3, 2019 - Tart blackberries, violets, spices, black pepper, and black olives on the nose. Very acidic with tart dark berries, blood orange, and reddish fruit on the palate. Good finish. Great nose, but the palate is slightly astringent and way too acidic at this point. I wonder if this ever comes around, but there is clearly potential there. Very hard to read right now.
