  September 26, 2016 - Typical Peterson wines... interesting, consistent and fun to drink. This wine specifically was much better on day 2 once some of the earthy, funky aromas evaporated and the wine transformed into a smooth fruit forward wine complemented with nice hints of black pepper and a nice longish finish for a zin. What I love most about Peterson Zins is that they are not alcohol bombs and I have never had one taste hot. Don't know his technique to control the alcohol, but it works

  January 20, 2016 - we're big fans of the 11 & 12 dry creek zin, but this seemed a bit more dull without the nice spice and bright fruit profile, while not offensive, just not the fun it is to drink those earlier vintages... I'm hopeful I just drank too young and this will develop some, but I fear it doesn't have the structure to come very far.. so, back to drinking through my 11s and 12s and see if this comes around
