March 2, 2021 - Delicate flavors of cherry and pomegranate with hints of spices such as vanilla. Nice balance and ready to drink

February 27, 2021 - Really good syrah! Ready to drink now. Lots of sediment (good). Not sure how much further it will improve; it should hold up well for several years. Yet another confirmation of why I like Ojai syrahs.

September 23, 2020 - This is singing - stunning Syrah. Dark fruit. Nice acid and mineral/ flint backbone

August 23, 2019 - Normally, Ojai’s Roll Ranch Syrahs require a decade to unwind. This one, however, is open for business in a big way. Blackberries, blueberries and black raspberries in the nose and on the palate, augmented by tar and tobacco notes in the finish. Outstanding purity. Tannins are completely integrated. No decant needed; this offering probably won’t make old bones. Just enjoy it now to 2024. Outstanding.

January 21, 2019 - Almost black in the glass, this sexy Syrah offers upfront heft balanced by beguiling acidity at the back end. Spicy blackberries, black raspberries and slightly underripe black cherries set on a blanket of well-integrated and fine tannins. A toasty finish. Our favorite vineyard in the Ojai offering, this promises another 7-8 years of pleasure. Drink now through 2026. Outstanding.
