April 28, 2024 - One of the more intriguing wines, as the range of notes suggest. This was the best of three bottles, largely because the 'premox' quality was resolved to something more like aged citrus and aged stone fruit with just a bit of caramel. Quite a burst of citrus acidity on opening with those hints of ripeness woven in. With air distinct mineralty and some classic floral Chablis notes enhanced the nose and palate. Day 2 more weight on palate, a bit less minerality, more light green apple/honey, but still ample lemon/lime acidity. Morphed constantly with quite long finish. Picking up on other notes, as indicated this drank well start to finish over three days.

December 17, 2023 - {from a case bought on release, brought up from 55F cellar and opened}. Rich, oxidative, full, I actually emotively like this wine more now than in prior samples because of its integration. I think Juffer's note is really accurate and would serve this a bit colder and with Epoisses or Harbison cheese. Mature notes, big mid-palate, pretty long for a villages. I've not bought Pattes Loup since 2014 and unless tastes of more recent vintages show me a more minerally style will not buy more as it doesn't fit my personal style wishes, but it's clearly well made and this villages is still delivering at 9+ years.

August 16, 2023 - Very good for its level. Good acidity, good mouth feel. Decent finish. Drank over 3 days.

May 19, 2023 - Ripe, oxidative nose, over ripe pears, bordering on stinky sweet with caramel. Rich mouth. Long ripe finish with enough bitter lift and acidity to keep it lively. Definitely not a delicate Chablis, but interesting. Could easily stand up to pungent aromatic foods. Maybe even epoisses.
P.S. With additional time in the glass the wine become more unbalanced to the point of eventually becoming unpleasant and it became clear that it was suffering from premox. Will keep my original score nevertheless.
