  February 16, 2021 - For anyone else who has remaining inventory, this is the fifth opend in the last 12 mos and it is at apex of maturity, imo. Purchased on release and cellared since, but the longevity here is all about the winemaking. There are extensive prior tasting notes below that are consistent with this bottle. While this 2000 vintage may have many years of life left, and it very well may, there's no reason to hold any longer and miss out on any degree of an exceptional syrah that is at it's peak.   December 15, 2020 - Very pretty nose! Floral and earthy.
  
  On the palate it is long and savory with round red raspberry notes. The bright and noticeable acidity called out for food and a strip steak was a great match.

  March 10, 2015 - Amazing cool climate Syrah in a cool year. Joe Davis knows how to bring out the best from these vineyards, a real magician. This wine has aromas of brambly red fruit with abundant dark fruit flavors, softened tannins, and lingering finish.

  February 9, 2015 - Wow, what a gem! Wonderful expressive nose and expansive palate with layers of delicious red fruit, earth, and spice. Then the lovely acidity builds to a killer long finish.
