Community Tasting Notes 2

December 26, 2020 - Bought at cellar. Wine is corked. This said, color is very deep garnet. On the nose, below the cork, very ripe morello cherries and plums. Difficult to say if any petrol (see previous note by winejnky) since bottle is flawed. Still a bit of vanilla from the wood. The same ripe fruit on the palate, sustained by bright acidity. A bit of burnt wood. Tannins feel smooth, grippy only in the after-taste. I guess that this bottle is in a good drinking window now. Very pleasant. This vintage reminds me of vintage 2017.

November 26, 2017 - Nose of crushed berries, petrol and stone. Medium bodied, tannic and quite dry, showing a reserved profile of tar, petrol, stone and cherries. Fine but nothing extra special here.
