December 25, 2023 - Final bottle of twelve and still drinking beautifully. Similar to the last one, this bottle was less evolved than the last - citrus and stone fruit to the fore, less nuttiness and kerosene. But all the other elements of previous tasting notes remain relevant. The sweetness is perhaps less evident and certainly well balanced by the acidity. Outstanding quality. It’s still holding up well - there is absolutely no hurry to drink up.

October 29, 2023 - Hard not to enjoy this one. There is botrytis on the nose yet the sweetness has receded a good bit leaving a mineral and citrus scented wine with stupendous balance. A perfect match with fall apple pie. Lovely length. I could drink a glass of this everyday and be quite happy. (94)

October 3, 2023 - Color: Deep yellow. Nose: Botrytis. Fruity. Mouth: Fresh. Excellent expressiveness and length. An appetizing fruity sourness.

August 13, 2023 - Drank last nite with Thai food in Hudson. Keen notes of petrol/kerosene on the nose. Citrus and white fruit, notes of lime, peaches and apricots on the palate. Good acidity, somewhat nutty, nice and fresh. A bit of sweetness, but mostly on the back end. Pleasant long finish.

May 9, 2023 - Light gold. Very fresh still. Plenty to enjoy. Citrus , mostly lime, white peach, pineapple, some petrol, and more. Not that sweet but a light clean honey is there. An elegant richness. Long. Good line of clean acidity. Lovely.

(Fritz Haag Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr Auslese) The first whiff is the most botrytis so far. Really big and powerful nose with rich fruit and marmalade tones but a big background of slate. Very silky with great concentration and extract. Incredibly long finish. A big winner and one of the best "normal" Auslesen of the trip.
