  February 18, 2023 - I opened this with Emily and Assen. This was clearly the best wine of the night (tasted alongside Shelter Cab Sauv from Napa and Roc des Angles Carianan from France). Red fruits, but also very earthy and with typical Tuscan vegetal flavors (bell pepper), though in a good way. Not super sophisticated, but this was just so soft and pillowy and perfectly balanced. Not flamboyant and not super sophsiticated, but really well done and a perfect match with Turkish Coffee crusted steaks. In a good spot, but seemed to have plenty of life left (so keep my 2016 until 2030+). Well done!

  September 25, 2021 - Maturing but still plenty of energy. Dusty tannins, blackberries. Feels like it’s in the drinking window to me.

Relatively deep colour and very much seems it may be a bit new world / Californian like some of their other vintages though I feel this it ultimately fresher. It’s 14.5% and early on this does bite and make itself evident though does integrate.
  Slightly dusty / tobacco fruit nose with menthol possibly.
  Palate and finsih despite the cut, spice / alcohol remains lighter in body than expected. Finish is more Italian and less fruit driven than Californian.

  April 26, 2020 - Really good cab, but a bit more new world than old. Fruit-forward with lots of hidden power. I suspect it would still benefit from another 3+ years. Very fairly priced.
