January 12, 2024 - Last minute wine lunch meetup at SSG. Tasted blind. Drank in Grassl Cru & Gabriel Standart.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of lovely stony minerality, citrus lemon-lime. Developing.
On the palate, dry, good high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of rich citrus lemon-lime, sweet pear, orange, rocky stony minerality, lightly honeyed integration. Good balanced feel that led me to guess 2014. Lovely juicy salivary mouth-feel. Long finish with a drizzle of honey.
Very good quality. A 2014 drinking in a nice place already. First guess Meursault, second guess Chassagne 1er.

January 7, 2024 - Lovely, full mouth feel, everything in place. Better next day. Probably at peak now.

September 14, 2022 - Monthly Tasting Group HWS September 2022; Chassagne Montrachet (By VD): Beautiful bouquet with minerals and crustacean. On the palate minerals, beautiful and focused, fresh citrus acidity, beautifully dosed oak and a great length. Beautiful wine.

May 14, 2022 - Quite precise and focused, I guessed wrongly Puligny. Terroir, vintage and winemaking really show an excellent quality here. A little short perhaps but overall a great Burg.
